17. There's A Quiet Creak In Sidney's Closet...Hours Before She's Attacked
There's an easily missed hint that Sidney's about to be terrorised by Ghostface in the film's first act after she returns home from school.
After trying to watch TV and being bombarded by news reports about her murdered mother, Sidney takes a walk through the house and stops briefly, at which point an extremely faint creak can be heard, which Sidney quickly shrugs off before taking a nap.
Sidney wakes up a few hours late at night, and shortly after this she receives a taunting call from Ghostface, culminating in him attacking Sidney by bursting out of the very same closet she first paused by.
It's a neat detail, and yet one so easily missed no matter how many times you might've seen the film.
