20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Truman Show

7. Truman & Marlon Both Own New Ford Cars (Because Of Product Placement)

The Truman Show Jim Carrey
Paramount Pictures

When Truman and Marlon are playing golf on an incomplete bridge, you might notice that they're both stood in front of their cars, both of which happen to not only be Ford vehicles, but clearly new ones that look like they were just driven off the lot.

Truman's Taurus Sedan and Marlon's Ranger Pickup were presumably given to the production by Ford as a means of product placement.

Though we're left to assume how a free car would end up in Truman's possession without him getting spooked, it's possible he was simply offered an incredible bargain at the dealership, or maybe Meryl won it in a contest.
