20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Truman Show

6. The Mount Rushmore Magnifying Glass Is Shaped Like A TV

One of the movie's low-key funniest gags occurs when Truman's mother Angela is leafing through the family photo albums and happens upon a picture of the family at "Mount Rushmore."

Truman notes how small the monument looks in the picture, which is because it's very clearly a low-budget mock-up without the epic surrounding rock formations you'd expect.

But the detail you might've missed is that the magnifying glass Angela is using to look at the picture is shaped like, you guessed it, a TV.

While rectangular magnifying glasses do exist, circular ones are far, far more common, and given the ridiculous amount of detail that's gone into almost every aspect of the film, there's no way this was a mere coincidence, especially with Truman being held in the center of the glass' frame.
