20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Truman Show

2. The Forest Truman Tries To Escape Through Is Man-Made

When Truman has his big mid-film freakout, he attempts to flee Seahaven by running through the forest, which draws immediate attention to its own artifice for those paying close attention.

We only see a few clear shots of the forest's layout, but the trees are planted in strictly defined rows, indicating that are in fact entirely man-made rather than naturally occurring as they generally are in the U.S.

The trees also appear to be rather young - relatively speaking, that is - likely because they were only planted by the production around the time that Truman was born.
