By now, it is clear that Thor: Ragnarok used improvisation to great effect. What may not be known by some MCU fans that the movie's most popular line did not come from Chris Hemsworth or even Taika Waititi.

Upon seeing the Hulk in the Sakaaran gladiatorial arena, Thor giddily exclaims "I know him! He's a friend from work!' The line catches everyone in the arena off guard and brilliantly highlights the Asgardian's carefree nature and his pleasure at seeing his long-lost teammate.

The line was made up on the spot by a child from the Make A Wish foundation, who thought that it would be neat to have Thor recognise the Jade Giant in this manner. All in all, this is a heartwarming means of incorporating a fan into the stories they adore.
