18. Hela's First Appearance Was Changed Late In The Game
It is no secret that MCU films (and most blockbusters in general) have time allocated for reshoots. While their purpose varies from project to project, there is no denying that additional filming allows for a more coherent project.
Initially, Thor and Loki met their half-sister Hela in New York shortly after Odin passed his power to the former and then died. But the location was later changed to Norway as Taika Waititi felt that the passing of the Asgardian patriarch needed a more picturesque locale than a decidedly less stunning New York alley.
Because of this, they reshot the scene on a field in Atlanta about five weeks before its debut. The change in venue was certainly more appealing despite some wonky greenscreen work.
