20 Underwhelming Movies From Star Wars Actors You Must Avoid

17. Robin Hood

Natalie Portman Thor 2
Universal Pictures

Actors:

Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) and Max Von Sydow (Lor San Tekka)

Star Wars Roles:

Robin Hood was Ridley Scott's attempt to do Gladiator all over again, with Russell Crowe, a historical setting, lots of macho action and an evil ruler as the villain. This time around, it didn't go so well.

Robin Hood is supposed to be an adventure story; this is just a plodding, hollow and soulless historical action pic that took itself far too seriously. As if that wasn't bad enough, viewers also had to endure two and a half hours of Russell Crowe's terrible attempts to do a convincing Northern accent.

This entirely lacks Gladiator's emotional depth and macho charm, making this a forgettable outing for both Star Wars actors. Isaac does a good English accent for an American though.
