20 Underwhelming Movies From Star Wars Actors You Must Avoid

Natalie Portman Thor 2
New Line Cinema

Actors:

Andy Serkis (Snoke) and Paul Bettany (Dryden Vos)

The Film:

Out of all the weak attempts to start a new Harry Potter-style franchise, this was one of the weakest.

This fantasy adventure boasts a good cast, but it was clearly written while consulting from a book of YA movie cliches and lacks the charm to work. Unsurprisingly, it was a box office bomb and no sequels ever appeared.

Both the Star Wars actors do OK but forgettable work here, with Paul Bettany playing a book character trapped in the real world and Andy Serkis playing the villain. Both were stuck playing mediocre villains in Star Wars, but at least those parts weren't quite as uninteresting as this.

If you want to see YA adaptations done properly, stick to Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner. Everything else is not worth bothering with.
