20 Upcoming Movie Sequels That Need To End Their Franchises
7. Rush Hour 4
The Franchise: Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker star as a pair of comically mismatched cops who team up to fight crime. Despite basically being a less-good version of Lethal Weapon, the Rush Hour series has made $849.7 million to date. Sequel Status: The fourth movie has been talked about ever since 2007's third one, and though happy to take part in a fourth movie, Chan said last year, "I dont want to do a rubbish script just because they want to make the movie". It's certainly not concrete yet, but it'll probably happen soon enough: after all, do Chan and Tucker have much else to do right now? Why It Needs To Be The Last One: Because the third movie was largely panned as it stands, and Chan is already over the age of 60 now, let alone when filming might actually begin. How Likely Is It?: It's hard to believe they'll manage to squeeze more than just another movie out of the series, which has been off screens for almost a decade and could easily fail to strike a chord with audiences by the time a new film actually comes out. 9/10.
