20 Upcoming Movies That Are Going To Rock

5. The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies

Why It's Going To Rock: Battle. Of. The. Five Armies. Granted, the first two installments in Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy were met with middling to mixed reviews - some thought they were fantastic, whereas others thought that they betrayed the essence of the book on which they were based, and were clad in much too much CGI and filled with random, unnecessary plot threads. But we're convinced that for the big finish, New Zealand's favourite filmmaker is going to pull it out of the bag. What we can expect, at least, is one of the most impressive battle sequences ever rendered in cinematic history, as the "Five Armies" of the movie's title face off against one another at the climax of the film. It's true that a lot of the action in The Hobbit has felt a little too video game-like, but it would be hard for Jackson to fumble something so inherently cinematic. And given that it's the last movie in the trilogy, we feel wholly confident in his abilities.
