Why It's Going To Suck: One-Note Premise/Unfunny Trailer Sex Tape is the sort of movie we should probably be giving the benefit of the doubt to, but given the insanely familiar premise - yes, that of a "sex tape" that accidently leaks OMG - it also sounds like a recipe for disaster. And by disaster, we mean "an all right comedy that could have been better." So this is helmed by Jake Kasdan (of Bad Teacher fame), and reprises cast members Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz in the leading roles. From the trailer, then, this seems to be another in a long line of "Cameron Diaz is getting older and feels insecure about her sex appeal, and so here she is - once again - in a skimpy outfit." Now, if you factor in the notion that this has been written by Segel and his writing partner Nicholas Stoller, there's still a chance it could work - but the plot is so flimsy and the trailer so free of laughs that it's probably best we prepare for the worst.
