20 Upcoming Movies That Made INSANE Casting Choices
11. Jeremy Allen White - Rotta the Hutt (The Mandalorian & Grogu)
Here's one of the strangest casting choices in any recent Star Wars project - The Bear's Jeremy Allen White is set to provide the voice of Rotta the Hutt in The Mandalorian and Grogu.
For those unaware, Rotta is the son of Jabba the Hutt, and has been primarily featured in animated Star Wars projects, namely The Clone Wars movie and TV series.
Given that Rotta has typically been depicted in juvenile form, it's tough to immediately picture White voicing the character - but of course, it makes a little more sense when we realise that Rotta will be considerably older in this movie.
Though the marketing hasn't featured him much at all, Rotta can be briefly glimpsed from behind in one of the trailers, seeming to confirm that the son of Jabba has grown considerably since we last saw him and is now working as a gladiator of some sort.
It's easier to see how White could fill that sort of role, even if few would've ever expected him to play such a part in a Star Wars movie.
