15. That Awkward Final Freeze-Frame - Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban

Harry Potter
Warner Bros.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban might be one of the best films in the series, but that doesn't mean it's exempt from bad scenes. Far from it.

The film ends with Harry taking a ride on his new Firebolt, which was sent to him by Sirius Black (Gary Oldman). As he soars off into the sky the film ends with an awkward, rather cringy freeze frame close-up of him flying into the camera and going "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" - complete with an awful motion blur.

You'd expect something as cheesy and silly as this from one of the Chris Columbus movies, but from director Alfonso Cuaron, one of the finest filmmakers working today and the best director the franchise has ever had? That was unexpected to say the least.
