Gemini Man is perfectly OK and it's unclear as to why people took against it so much, but it does have one of the year's worst film gags.

In one scene in the film's latter half, Junior (a de-aged Will Smith and a clone of the film's protagonist, played by Will Smith) forces Danny (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) to strip down so that he can search her for a wire. It's every bit as cringeworthy as it sounds, and while it was clearly there for comedy, it'll induce face palms, not laughs.

It also seems likely this scene was also included as an excuse for the female lead to get her kit off; if that is the case, this was some staggering immaturity from the film's writers.

Hopefully one day Hollywood films will finally move past this kind of stupidity.
