20 Worst Movie Moments Of The Decade

12. The Legend Of Hercules - Arena Battle

January is always terrible for film releases since it's where studios dump their trash and perhaps the epitome of this from recent years is The Legend of Hercules, a rock-bottom and bewilderingly awful slice of big-budget cinema that scrapes the dark recesses of the cinematic barrel that few movies manage to reach.

This scene, in which Hercules (played atrociously by Twilight's Kellan Lutz) battles some other gladiators in an arena, is just awful. Even though this movie cost $70 million to make it looks more like a cheap PS1 video game and this entire set-piece is nothing more than endless, endless slow motion combat moves. As a result there's no excitement to be had whatsoever.

It's especially distressing that this movie is based on Greek Mythology, which is amazing, yet the film doesn't show even the slightest bit of respect for it.
