20 Worst Movie Posters Of 2018

It's truly impressive just how well Venom has performed at the box office despite its atrocious marketing campaign (to say nothing of the "mixed" reviews).

There's no better example of the listless marketing than this woefully generic poster which awkwardly merges the mugs of Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock and the titular symbiote.

The key issue is Hardy's facial expression: he doesn't look remotely anguished, excited or much of anything.

He looks more like he's being briefly inconvenienced by the sun being shone on his eyes or some mild intestinal discomfort rather than, you know, bonding with an extraterrestrial creature.

Basically, it looks like a fan Photoshop where the artist pulled some random stock photo of Hardy from Google, not a professional image where the studio had all the access to Hardy they possibly could've needed.
