We're not sure that even the people who like dance movies expect them to be "good" in the traditional sense - they just watch them because, hey, they like the dancing, and sitting through the awful dialogue and cliched plots is the price you have to pay, right? Battle of the Year, on the other hand, dares you to be quite so optimistic: here's a dance "movie" so inherently terrible that it breaks the device for measuring how bad movies actually is. There are no words to explain. And yet we'll try. "Battle of the Year," in the context of the movie, is an annual tournament that invites dance crews from all over the world to compete - the United States, however, hasn't won in 15 years. A hip-hop artist decides that a old friend - and basketball coach - should run his team, and that's your movie. Now visualise several of the worst actors of all-time bantering and bickering on-screen, and this is... well, it's the most unintentionally hilarious movie of 2013.
