The Smurfs 2 should probably be a lot lower down on this list, because it is truly a filmmaking travesty of the highest order - but it's also a kids' movie, and one that came with absolutely no expectations given the awful quality of the first installment. It's true, then, that most people don't even care that this is bad - for the parents who were brave enough to take their children to see The Smurfs 2, it probably kept them quiet for 90 minutes, and maybe that was a miracle of sorts. So although it does seem kind of pointless to include The Smurfs 2 on this list, given its intent, fair is fair, and it was - without a doubt - one of the worst movies of 2013. This sequel has the Smurfs going up against Evil Smurfs, and that's pretty much it. The jokes and slapstick sequences are so unfunny that you can't even appreciate them on an ironic level. So, yes, adults will hate this, but kids will likely be entertained. So we'll compromise on this one: it's the 15th worst movie of 2013.
