20 Worst Movies Of 2017 (So Far)

1. Fifty Shades Darker

If you were one of those lost souls who actually enjoyed the first Fifty Shades movie, there's a good chance you probably similarly enjoyed the second. But there's also probably an equally good chance that you have had the taste centre of your brain catastrophically impaired in some way.

The sequel commits all of the crimes of the original, and dares - somewhat inexplicably - to be even less sexy, which is a further slap in the face for that army of raunch-loving middle-aged women who enjoyed the books because they were "filthy".

Darker aims to be more grown-up, mostly through not showing off any rude bits and by being a whole lot creepier. It seeks to achieve that by stealing every thriller cliche you could think of and twisting them into a knotted plot that is just silly. If Fifty Shades Of Grey was the clumsy, sloppy foreplay, this was a timid, boring few thrusts of the main event, without even the good grace of giving anyone any satisfaction.
