13. Collide
After making the very good Shifty and the could-be-better Welcome To The Punch, British director Eran Creevy returned with Collide, bringing Nicholas Hoult, Felicity Jones, Anthony Hopkins and Sir Ben Kingsley. Wow, what a cast, you might well be thinking to yourself. Nothing surely can go wrong there...
The only real enjoyment in this under-nourished - occasionally bonkers - actioner comes courtesy of watching Hopkins and Kingsley clearly not give a single f*ck about their performances. And the plot - which centres on a heist plot designed to pay astronomical medical bills - is pretty bloody pertinent in the almost post-ObamaCare age. Soon you too might be having to rip off a German Anthony Hopkins at the behest of a mental Ben Kingsley.
The plot ends up being quite unremarkable, while the script is simultaneously remarkably bad.
