20 Worst Movies Of 2021 (So Far)
10. Every Breath You Take
Every Breath You Take is a textbook example of a movie that wants to pretend it's far classier than it actually is, refusing to just embrace its trashy genre thrills but fighting instead to be taken seriously as a brooding thriller.
Casey Affleck is thoroughly wasted as a psychiatrist whose life is upended by the intrusions of a late patient's brother, and save for Sam Claflin's amusingly deranged performance as said brother, there's very little here to sustain interest over its 105 minutes.
Both convoluted and predictable to anyone who's seen their fair share of sleazy thrillers, Every Breath You Take isn't interesting enough to be genuinely good, nor fun enough to be at all memorable.
