10 Upcoming Movies That Are Already Doomed

6. Scream 7

After the fifth Scream movie successfully rejuvenated the franchise with an appealing new cast, and Scream VI proved that the series could survive just fine without Neve Campbell, a seventh film to round out the Core Four's story should've been a sure slam dunk.

But Scream 7 faced a major creative roadblock when lead Melissa Barrera was fired from the film late last year due to making pro-Palestine social media posts, and the very next day, it was reported that Jenna Ortega also wouldn't be returning, allegedly due to a "salary dispute."

This led director Christopher Landon to exit the sequel, and back in March, it was announced that Neve Campbell would be returning to portray Sidney Prescott, with franchise writer Kevin Williamson set to direct.

Needless to say, there's much concern about a seventh film which flatly ignores Barrera and Ortega's characters while returning to the Sidney well yet again. Plus, Williamson's only other directorial effort to date, 1999's Teaching Mrs. Tingle, was a critical and commercial flop.

Couple all this with large portions of the series' Very Online fanbase vowing to boycott the sequel altogether, and the deck is just supremely stacked against this one.
