2. The Man Of Steel Kryptonite Reference

Man Of Steel's Metropolis sky-line is full of references to DC landmarks: we see signs for ACE Chemicals, Wayne Enterprises, LexCorp and Blaze Comics in blink-and-you'll-miss-them appearances. But the most interesting is a sign for Utopia Casino, which is an obscure reference to a lesser known supervillain that was apparently sneaked in by an effects crew member.

The Casino was owned in the comics by Tony Gallo, who was the first villain responsible for bringing Kryptonite to Metropolis after a meteor of it fell near his home. So, he plays a pretty major part in Superman's history, even if it is largely forgotten.
