21 Monstrously Stupid Pieces Of Writing In Godzilla

1. EMP Would Have Knocked The Helicopter Out Of The Sky

Given the circumstances and the time involved, the size of the bomb used and the proximity of the helicopter the good ol€™ EMP would have come into play again and knocked that bird right out of the sky just like its jet brethren earlier in the film. In fact, why was it even flying in the first place since it would have had to have been grounded, switched off and shielded in order to survive the initial EMP that knocked the other jets out minutes earlier. So, I don€™t know about you, but I feel better having got all that off my chest. Maybe you think €œit€™s just a movie€ and don€™t care about any of the above but if we set the bar that low for our entertainment we do ourselves, and genuinely good writers, a disservice. There is nothing to say that a monster movie or CGI blockbuster has to make no sense and in fact many manage to keep at least some internal consistency. This film, though, has so many mistakes as to end up in a hall of infamy. A few mistakes are forgivable, this many is just careless. What did you think of the movie? Am I being too harsh?
