Notable offenders: Leprechaun (1993), Unlucky Charms (2013), Leprechaun: Origins (2014) Believe it or not there was a time when Leprechauns were seen as a harmless type of fairy in Irish folklore, usually taking the form of an old man, clad in a red or green coat, who enjoys partaking in mischief. They spent all their time busily making shoes, and storing away all their coins in a hidden pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. In the early '60s we got introduced to Lucky Charms cereal and this further spread the message that these guys were nothing more than adorable little munchkins who love their "lucky charms". Then the '90s came around and the horror genre had to screw it all up and introduce us to a Leprechaun who not only wasn't adorable but he was a murderous hellion to boot. Damn you Warwick Davis!
