22 Actors Who Crossed The Marvel/DC Movie Divide

4. Josh Brolin

As far as his DC work is concerned, Josh Brolin has the unwanted distinction of playing the lead character in one of the worst comic book movies ever made. He played western anti-hero Jonah Hex in the 2010 adaptation and, in spite of its fairly stellar cast, it was truly awful. Brolin did his best, but it just didn't work. He is now portraying the big-bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise - the Mad Titan known as Thanos. He has, to date, only appeared twice - both of which were uncredited cameos - in 2014's Guardians Of The Galaxy and the mid-credits scene of 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. He will, however, go on to play the role in a much meatier manner in several future movies, including the two-part Avengers: Infinity War event at the end of Phase 3. He also portrayed the young version of Agent K in Marvel adaptation Men In Black 3.
