15. Maximum Overdrive

Status: Flirting With The Abyss Back at the end of 2010, someone clearly realised that there just weren't enough horror movies about murderous, sentient lorries and decided to get the wheels rolling on a remake of Maximum Overdrive. These people must never have seen the 1986 original, directed by King himself (who thankfully hasn't done that again). Based on Trucks, about a band of survivors hiding in a truck stop while the vehicles outside murder everyone, it wasn't even so bad it was good. It was just terrible, with the only redeeming element being the AC/DC soundtrack. It seems to have been passed around for the past 5 years, which is a good thing, as the remake is entirely unwelcome. Prospects: The original was diabolical, but luckily Emilio Estevez isn't really active on the acting scene so he'd hopefully not trouble a remake.
