Status: Stalled This adaptation of the frankly preposterous campfire tale of a patient who is determined to give birth to her illegitimate son despite social disapproval and the small matter of her head not being attached to her body, was on Scott Derrickson's To Do List. Unfortunately for fans of odd-ball chillers about mysterious gentlemen's clubs and headless mothers-to-be, Derrickson now has his hands full with Doctor Strange, so if it's coming, it's not going to be for a while. Prospects: It's so odd that it just might work, but it will always feel more like a student short film submission or a Cronenberg bodyshock horror, rather than a mainstream release. Quite who would go and see it is a hard riddle to answer.
