Release: TBC Status: Pilot Ordered One from King's "miracles" pile, concerning a man dying of cancer (typically uplifting of course), who meets a magical blind girl who kisses him on the cheek and cures him, quite handily. She's very much from the same magical extended family as The Green Mile's John Coffey. Prospects: The idea of a sort of superhero intervention programme mixed with Quantum Leap (but without the time travelling) is a compelling idea, and the magic realism of The Green Mile was its chief selling virtue, so there's no reason to think it won't happen again. Plus the episodic format proposed by NBC would work nicely as an adventure-a-week sort of deal.
