Release: ???? Status: Development Hell? A firm fan favourite, which should probably have made it to screen before now, The Talisman is about another cross-dimensional traveller, which might have actually been a better fit for Josh Boone given the emotional pull. At one point Steven King was in the frame for a TV series but that's long dead, and it's now fallen to Raiders Of The Lost Ark's Frank Marshall to try and get the adaptation off the ground. Prospects: Being in development that long is never a good sign, no matter how beloved the novel is among King's fans, but the Arachnophobia director has good experience in adventure film-making both as helmer and producer.
