Michael Bond's charming, marmalade-loving bear from darkest Peru proved to be a surprise movie star when his first big foray from Harry Potter producer David Heyman and The Mighty Boosh director Paul King - but few saw the followup becoming an all-time critical favourite.

On release though, the superior sequel to 2014's already near-perfectly charmed effort won the hearts of film fans worldwide, as its plucky hero found himself on the wrong side of the law, up against Hugh Grant's dastardly fop Phoenix Buchanan. It's worth every bit of praise.
