25 Best Zombie Movies Ever Made

16. Resident Evil

Now whilst George A. Romero conquered the big screen with his undead legions, Capcom scared the ever-loving life out of players with its now-legendary series of video games. Resident Evil has unashamedly drawn for his classic work time and again and by the turn of the century, it was time for the brand to take the leap over to Hollywood.

As video game adaptations go, this is actually one of the better ones out there as it is so easy to take the core concepts of the game to moviegoers - even though this did lose some of its heart and cheesy one-liners along the way.

But as a zombie movie, it is extremely effective at making the view terrified to turn out the lights and at times is also one of the more claustrophobic zombie movies going.

Alice (Milla Jovovich), who is suffering from amnesia is stuck underground in a secret Umbrella facility known as the HIVE. Along with One (Colin Salmon) and his team of S.T.A.R.S, have to find a way out before they are sealed in with the dead. Sometimes the simpler the idea, the better it is.

It is a shame that the series would go onto decrease in quality over the next 5 instalments.
