25 Best Zombie Movies Ever Made

12. The Battery

The Battery
Metrodome

At first, this looked to be no more than a student film that somehow found a minimal budget, but then oh boy, that long shot. That long continuous shot was something else. A short time after that, Ben & Micky encounter a stranger and everything changes.

Jeremy Gardner does a fantastic job writing, directing and portraying someone who just wants to survive. This is no run of the mill zombie apocalypse epic, but a tale of two friends trying to stay alive in one of the most awkward situations.

All in all, the script is simple, characters grounded and the zombies, well they are featured just about enough. This is a human story. A perfect example of how to achieve a lot on such a small budget and should stand up as a perfect way to get started in film.
