Plot: Dorothy returns to Oz to visit her old friends when she finds that their land is in grave danger thanks to a wicked Jester. Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return is kind of a weird one. Does anybody know what's going on here? This is kind of a sequel to Wizard of Oz, but not really since it's animated. It has nothing to do with Oz The Great And The Powerful and it's not even being released by a major studio. Instead, Clarius Entertainment are distributing the film, and this will apparently be the first film they ever release, according to IMDB, and this is slated to be released to over 3,000 screens in May. What's most curious is that these following people agreed to be a voice actor in this movie, which looks like it should have been given a Direct-to-DVD release: Lea Michele, Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, Jim Belushi, Patrick Stewart, Oliver Platt, and Bernadette Peters. Reading those names now though, and considering where all those actors (save Lea Michele and Patrick Stewart) are at in their careers, perhaps it's not that surprising.
