3. Prometheus (2012)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0WUpsErUBA Prometheus was a very disappointing film. But it has one of my favorite trailers ever, so it isn't completely worthless. This is exactly how a trailer should be. It builds up dread while presenting beautiful visuals and doesn't give away too much plot. This is the trailer that made all the people who were skeptical about this movie much less skeptical, although that's probably not a good thing. It's a shame the film wasn't better, but I'm perfectly content with watching this trailer enough times to equal the film's runtime. 2. The Dark Knight (2008)

We can all remember getting our first look at the Joker and our excitement at seeing the truck flip over. This is a perfect trailer. It shows money shot after money shot while still leaving plenty untouched in the movie. It will be a long time before any comic book movie has a trailer better than this one.
