25 Greatest Film Trailers From The 2000s

5. The Social Network (2010)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB95KLmpLR4 When I first heard they were making a movie about Facebook, I thought that was a stupid idea. Then when people like Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher were brought on board, I thought it was even more stupid that these two acclaimed people were joining this movie. Then I saw this trailer. We've gone over the fact that Fincher makes great trailers. That should be obvious by now, since he's on the top 10 three times. I love the cover of Radiohead's "Creep" and the shots of lives being told through Facebook. I love pretty much everything about this trailer. Fincher may not always make a great movie, but he always makes a great trailer.

4. Super 8 (2011)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqt9L4fIExA Many people don't like Super 8, but I'm not one of them. I really loved the movie. And even though the film divides people, the trailer is pretty much universally loved. The trailer makes great use of James Horner's score for Cocoon, and perfectly evokes the Amblin films of the 70s and 80s. This trailer was full of mystery, and I couldn't wait to see how they fit in together. The train crash looked great and I'm glad they built up suspense with never showing the monster. JJ Abrams seems to know how to make a good trailer, so don't be surprised to see any more of his on future versions of this list.

Jeremy Sollie hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
