1. Jurassic World
Release Date: 12th June
Almost fifteen years after Dr Alan Grant inexplicably learned to speak 'raptor and seemingly killed the Jurassic Park franchise dead, the InGen monsters are back, and nobody seems to have learned a single lesson from the past three "incidents".
After a few false starts, the park is actually open to the public with a safety system that is entirely safe and an agenda to develop super mega-killerasaurs to entertain the baying crowds. What could possibly go wrong?
Selling Point
Dinosaurs, disaster movies, Chris Pratt and an increased sense of threat... What more do you want from the film billed as reinvigorating the franchise?
Reservations
Dino-genetic splicing and interacting with 'raptors who can apparently listen to reason if it's said in the right tone of voice have both blighted Jurassic Park history already, so why anyone thought they should be central plot points here is anyone's guess.
