3. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman Trailer
Warner Bros.

Release Date: June 2nd

Billed As: The first real female-led comic book movie, finally bringing the story of the world's most famous Amazonian to the big screen. Also, another chance to "kick -start" the DCEU.

Hype: After years in the unjust wilderness, Diana Prince is finally getting her own movie, apparently meshing the tone of Captain America and Thor and directed by Patty Jenkins.

The film is a historical epic, thrusting Wonder Woman into the world of man torn apart by WWI as an unseen threat threatens to rain even worse terror down. Her determination to unite with pilot Steve Trevor and realise her destiny to stop the Great War will see her dropped into a clash of cultures that promises humour as well as a considered portrait of feminism.

It looks like it's packed with spectacular action on top of that, and since Wonder Woman was the best part of Batman v Superman, her stand-alone really can't come soon enough.
