25 Most Hotly Anticipated Movies Of Summer 2018 - Ranked

20. Skyscraper

SkyScraper The Rock
Legendary Pictures

Release Date: July 13

Billed As: The Rock gets his own Die Hard movie, playing a former FBI agent who is forced to act when terrorists attack Hong Kong's tallest skyscraper, with his family trapped inside no less.

Hype: Though the marketing campaign's been surprisingly muted with just two months until Skyscraper hits screens, what's been shown off so far looks suitably bonkers, with The Rock committing as hard to the loony premise as you'd both hope for and expect.

Central Intelligence's Rawson M. Thurber serves as writer-director, while Neve Campbell and Pablo Schreiber co-star. There's also the interesting added wrinkle of Johnson playing an amputee with an artificial leg, which could add a thoughtful - and at least inclusive - wrinkle to a shameless Die Hard knock-off.

It probably won't deliver many surprises, but that shouldn't stop it being yet another blockbuster blast courtesy of The Rock.
