25 Most Hotly Anticipated Movies Of Winter 2016 - Ranked
18. Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk
Release Date: November 11th
Billed As: Ang Lee's adaptation of the sharp anti-War satire of Ben Fountain's award-winning novel of the same name. Also featuring Vin Diesel as a ghost.
Hype: Lee tackling emotionally weighty, politically important material is a good thing all round, and the material he's specifically working with here is great. It's pertinent, it has scored the almost accidental marketing boost afforded by Serial's insight into the Bowe Bergdahl case, and Lee is an Oscar-winner of serious clout.
There's some concern, of course, because Lee decided the film needed to be shot in 120 fps. That's more than double the record set by The Hobbit (and remember how awfully that was received?) It might be wholly too distracting, but it does add a different level of hype entirely.
