3. My Friend Dahmer (Dallas Roberts)
As already established, Dallas Roberts might be a Walking Dead supporting star, but he has a veteran's career as a voice actor on anime and video games, and he has the most intriguing release coming this year - particularly in terms of subject matter. Perhaps it was his familiarity to pulp fans that got him the gig?
He will voice Lionel Dahmer, father of the serial killing monster, as the film - which is based on Derf's exceptional graphic novel of the same name - charts Jeffrey Dahmer's high school life up to the eve of his first murder. Rather than telling the grizzly story of his kills, the film instead tells a scarier story - of a troubled teen's blossoming into one of America's most infamous killers, and how he blended in.
Intriguingly it stars a bona-fide Disney kid in Ross Lynch, which adds even more interest, and it could well be one of the most haunting horrors of the year. If it can do anything like We Need To Talk About Kevin, it'll already be halfway there.
