25 Predictions For Summer 2016's Rotten Tomatoes Scores

23. The Angry Birds Movie (49%)

Predicted Critical Consensus: "If better than most would expect from any movie based on a mobile phone game, The Angry Birds Movie nevertheless squanders its game cast with low-effort gags, and while agreeable enough to please young children, may be too thin for adults." While the first set of trailers did generate a few laughs, and the movie boasts an inexplicably good cast, the question remains: will critics want to sit through a 90-100 minute movie based on these characters? Probably not. It could be an unexpected subversion of what seems like nothing more than a cheap cash-in as with The Lego Movie, but that doesn't seem too likely from what we've seen so far, and Angry Birds simply hasn't existed long enough to foster the same nostalgia that Lego has. It won't suck as much as many expect, but it'll also fall short of being anything but forgettable.
