25 Predictions For Summer 2016's Rotten Tomatoes Scores
17. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows (39%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "An undeniable improvement over the previous live-action effort, Out of the Shadows nevertheless still fails to deliver on the true promise of its new heroes and villains, despite some solid action sequences." No question, what we've seen so far from the Turtles looks like a significant step-up from the cringe-worthy, often creepy and inappropriate original, but it's also still likely to be constrained by many of the same issues, namely a painfully Michael Bay-inspired sense of humour, and a plot that doesn't make much sense. Fans will no doubt get a kick out of the likes of Baxter Stockman and Krang showing up, but it's safe to expect them to be entertaining fan service in a largely uneven blockbuster. Not bad, but not good either.
