25 Predictions For This Summer's Rotten Tomatoes Scores

7. Spy (78%)

Predicted Critical Consensus: "Melissa McCarthy leads a game cast of comedy vets in this entertaining tribute to the spy thriller genre." Despite having the potential to be yet another movie where McCarthy spends most of it falling on her a**, early reviews from SXSW this past week have been very positive, with Spy currently sitting at 100% after 12 reviews. According to these early notices, Spy isn't merely a generic spy spoof, and with Paul Feig's reliable direction, he's able to give McCarthy one of her best starring roles yet. Critics also praised the supporting cast, particularly Jason Statham, who is said to steal many scenes in a rare comedic performance, and on the whole, it sounds like this one's going to go over very well indeed. If her first collaboration with Feig, Bridesmaids, scored 90% and her second, The Heat, landed at 65%, expect this to fall somewhere in-between.
