All of the advertising has focused heavily on the fact that the man of the moment, Chris Pratt, plays lead character Owen Grady in Jurassic World. After all, he helped deliver Marvel drumptrucks full of cash with last year's Guardians of the Galaxy, so it follows that he'd be a blast in an adventure film of this sort. Odd it is, then, that he's curiously absent from much of the movie's first hour. For starters, he doesn't show up until 20 minutes until the movie, and after his introduction, he then disappears for a lengthy period of time before again re-appearing and taking center stage alongside Jurassic World's operations manager Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) for the final hour. As such Pratt had a much easier job than expected, and it often feels like Claire is really the protagonist of the piece, which in honesty isn't anywhere near as thrilling a prospect.
