25. Nancy Springs Her Traps In Record Time - A Nightmare On Elm Street

After her boyfriend is killed in his sleep, original final girl Nancy decides that she's had enough of Freddy and is going to handle the situation proactively. She's going to go into her dream and pull him out, into our world. Nancy calls her police lieutenant father at exactly 12:10am and says €œI want you to come over here and break the door down exactly twenty minutes from now.€ She sets her watch timer for 10 minutes, starting at 12:20. The issue here is what happens between 12:10 and 12:20. According to the film, it appears that Nancy rigs the entire house with booby traps comprised of very complicated parts (drilling holes in light bulbs, removing gun powder from shotgun shells, etc), none of which are familiar to her since she€™s following directions from a book. After setting the house up as a death trap, she still has time to sit by her mother€™s bed and have a heart-to-heart. That€™s one busy 10 minutes.
