One of White's major revelations during his brief chat with Bond is that Oberhauser had control of almost every significant baddie Bond has come into contact with in Craig's run of films: Le Chiffe, Dominic Greene (like anyone remembers him), Raoul Silva and Vesper are all name-dropped as being part of his organisation. It's a cool idea, but sadly this isn't fleshed out very well at all, even later in the movie when Oberhauser talks to Bond at great length directly. It just feels like an arbitrary attempt to raise the stakes higher than before and make it feel like everything is connected, when ultimately the film could function just as well and easily without these links.
