29 WTF Moments From Spectre

13. Bond Gets A Chance To Kill Mr. Hinx... But Doesn't

In Austria, Swann ends up getting kidnapped from her workplace by Mr. Hinx and his colleagues, at which point Bond flees and (somehow) finds a plane, which he flies through the mountains in pursuit of their escape vehicles. Bond's plane ends up having holes shot through it, the wings snapped off as it crashes through a forest, and as mentioned, slides down a snowy mountaintop to collide with the vehicles. One vehicle explodes on impact, while the other, containing Hinx and Swann, merely crashes. Hinx is ejected through the windshield, after which Bond shoots the one conscious goon sat in the front of the car and gets Swann to safety. Of course, though, after they flee the scene, Hinx's hand twitches and it's clear that he's still alive. Seriously, Bond, after everything you've been through, you're not going to confirm the kill and pop one in his dome? Sure, it's a movie and things like this kinda need to happen, but there surely had to be a better way to write the scene to make it more convincing that Hinx was dead. I mean, Bond saw him squeeze out someone's eyeballs earlier: why would you take any chance of him coming back?
