1. Bond "Retires" With Madeleine At The End... For Some Reason
So, Bond walks away from Blofeld to go shack up with Madeleine, and it seems like this is the end of the movie, but there's one more scene to come. Bond visits Q at his workplace, much to the quartermaster's surprise, as he believed that he was "gone". Bond says that he is gone, but he needs one more thing: cut to Bond, sat in the classic Aston Martin DB-5 which was virtually destroyed in Skyfall, as it's revealed that Madeleine is in the car with him, and they drive off. Smash cut to black, roll credits. The main problem here is that the movie desperately wants to sell us on the idea of Madeleine being "the one" for Bond, but she's not nearly as well-developed a love interest as Vesper, and so it's just not very plausible. Plus, we all know Bond's going to come back anyway, so it all just ultimately feels empty and for naught. What did you think of Spectre? Shout it out in the comments!
