Despite the audience never seeing his face, Vin Diesel melted hearts around the world as the tree-like humanoid known as Groot in Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy. However, this wasn't the first time that the actor has flirted with the superhero genre. Most notably, the action star almost played Matt Murdock in 2003's Daredevil, though he opted for the lead in the action film xXx instead. According to Diesel, the decision to stray from the Marvel property was less of a knock on superhero movies than it was a show of faith in the xXx franchise. However you feel about those films, you have to admit that Vin dodged a bullet with this one.
